December 5th Counting Down Christmas

As a child, we didn't do a daily count down but we DID use a traditional Catholic Advent Calendar to mark the weeks before Christmas. Oh, how I LOVED to light the candles and think of Jesus before that Sunday dinner.

Our Advent Calendar was a green wreath with 3 pink candles and 1 purple candle to represent the three weeks leading up to Christmas with the purple being lit on Christmas Eve/Day.

Joe says, "Sometimes we use an advent calendar to count down to Christmas and ate a chocolate each day. Other times, we used paper rings to count down till Christmas. We should get another chocolate advent calendar, again."
