September 08, 2014: The Hundred Year Flood?

The Apprentice Adult and I were woken up in the wee hours of the morning to the sounds of massive rain and thunder! We found the street in front of the house a flowing river... completely covered from curb to curb as it dumped into the retention basin near our house. MASSIVE rain!!! The bin in front of our house had washed down from a home farther 'upstream'. It was so cool!

Time Check? 2 or 3 am???

Of course, the following day we also took pictures the day after to commemorate the event...

I almost wished we'd had a kayak to take advantage of our little 'lake'.

Normally this light fixture is on a slight 'hill'

There is another light fixture in the middle of this picture that is almost completely covered!
